Today is July 1, 2015.
It is a quiet day in the office, and so naturally my mind has turned to what activities to do on Independence Day this weekend.
My husband and I want to go to the beaches of North Carolina and explore. More to come when we see what kind of trouble we can get into. Also to everyone else, please wear sun block and avoid the sharks if you're going to the beaches as well.
Here are my favorite beach activities so far. Comment if you have some fun suggestions for me!
- Reading books and listening to music
- Drawing in the sand
- Collecting Seashells
- Playing beach volleyball
- Building sand castles or digging tunnels
- Chasing little hermit crabs
- Tanning
- Walking/Running along the beach
- Hitting up a fun restaurant. ]
- Indulging in the call of the snow-cone
- Getting a caricaturist to draw our pictures
- Shopping along the pier
- Splashing in the water with our dog, Lilly.
- Throwing around a football or frisbee
- Making a game out of people watching
- Catching a fireworks show (specifically for the 4th)
- Having a picnic and enjoying the cooler of cold drinks!
- Body-surfing waves
- Snorkeling
- Naming the birds
- Playing card games
- Taking a warm nap
